Dr. Halim Hennes

Dr. Halim Hennes is a board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physician with 36 years of experience. Dr. Hennes spent his career at two academic medical schools in Wisconsin and Texas teaching and training new physicians in pediatric emergency medicine and doing research. As a physician he is well trained in the management of children with acute and chronic illness.

Throughout his career he cared for many children with special needs and is passionate about them having the best possible outcome. As an academic physician, Dr. Hennes has over 75 publications addressing traumatic injuries, pain management, sedation, seizure, abdominal pain, and respiratory illness. To better understand how treatment affects patient outcome he completed a master’s degree in biostatistics and public health.

Dr. Hennes will be available to assist our staff at Sunshine Kids Day Center in managing emergencies, when needed, and will also participate in our quality improvement and parent’s satisfaction activities
